Our two thermal coal mines in Australia are Callide in Queensland, and Drayton in New South Wales.
Callide
Callide is an open-cut mining operation providing low sulphur, sub-bituminous thermal coal primarily for Queensland’s domestic power generation, and currently produces around 8 Mt of thermal coal each year.
Drayton
Drayton is an open-cut mine, which began operating in 1983 and currently produces around 5 Mt of thermal coal each year for export markets.
