Australian Coal Association
The Australian Coal Association (ACA) is an industry body representing the interests of the black coal producers in Australia – located predominantly in New South Wales and Queensland, the states that produce around 97% of Australia’s black coal. The chief executive of our metallurgical coal business is a member of the Board. The Australian Coal Association works closely with the state based mining associations.

In November 2008 the ACA was pleased to announce the release of a new and exciting website: NewGenCoal. This site explains the issues related to climate change that we face as an industry, a nation and globally, and the solutions we are working towards in Australia and worldwide.

Coal Industry Advisory Board
The Coal Industry Advisory Board provides advice to the International Energy Agency on a wide range of issues relating to coal. Its members are coal industry chief executives nominated by their host countries. The chief executive of our metallurgical coal business is one of three members representing Australia.

Minerals Council of Australia
The Minerals Council of Australia is Australia’s peak mining industry body representing exploration, mining and minerals processing industries, nationally and internationally. The chief executive of our metallurgical coal business is on the Board of Directors. The Minerals Council of Australia is also a member of the Industry Alliance Group which is a collection of national industry associations which collaborate on national areas of interest.

New South Wales Minerals Council
The New South Wales Minerals Council is the New South Wales mining industry’s peak industry association representing mineral producers, operators, explorers, extractive material producers and associated service providers operating in New South Wales. Anglo American is a member of the Executive Committee.

The Queensland Resources Council is the peak industry association representing companies and individuals engaged in Queensland’s minerals and energy sector. We are represented on the Board and a number of Board level committees.
