In Australia, our metallurgical coal business strategy supports our overarching Group ambition to become the leading global mining company. We are achieving this by focusing on delivering a local goal to double value in five years through operational excellence, resource development and growth.

We aim to deliver operational excellence through innovation; bringing about safer and more efficient ways of operating; asset optimisation, such as introducing targeted coal recovery programmes; and by leveraging and further developing the skills of our high-calibre employees.

Through developing our resources, we can hone in on the value-driving components of our business by increasing production of our high-quality products, while progressing our attractive project pipeline, comprising four premium projects: Grosvenor, Moranbah South, Drayton South and Dartbrook. This growth pipeline will secure our long-term presence in Australia, bringing about future development, employment opportunities and a significant economic contribution to the surrounding communities through local investment and royalties to state governments.
